THE DEATH OF A WHALE: A Study slide show (63)
A Finback Whale beached just North of Florence Oregon in early March, 2009. It was weak and thought to be tangled in crab gear. The latter proved to not be true. It later died and it washed ashore just North of Sealion Caves on an inaccessible beach. The tide took it again and it washed up on the beach at Cape Creek. It was accessible over two days, and I decided to do a Photographic study.
It was a humbling experience.
(The first photo is a healthy Finback whale off the coast of San Diego CA).
